The las Monday night home game before Padres drew 23k. That Padres game drew 35k. It looks like the fans are now bought in, literally.

35,376 was the biggest weeknight crowd of the season and the sixth-largest crowd of the year overall. Largest Monday night crowd at Oracle since before the pandemic. 

There's all kinds of reasons for the fans to come back. 8th straight win on a splash hit walk-off home run by Yaz in extra innings. Casey Schmitt drew his second walk of the year.. Very strong pitching. Ninth inning comeback, Villar hits his first HR since 4/29 in Mexico City, Bailey throws out Tatis at third (with a successful challenge -- Bailey has now thrown out 8 of his last 20 stolen base attempts, including Mookie Betts and Tatis, and Winn threw five shutout innings after the early HR from Soto.

And now both Mrs. Mick and Young Mick -- neither of whom are baseball fans -- want to go to Oracle Park for a game. They like the youth movement, too.
