Personally I think fans would way rather have exciting young home grown players than splashy free agents. 

I seem to remember certain "fans" on this site calling for a boycott of the Giants after the Correa deal went south. Anybody remember who they might have been?

Not me, man. Called it a bogus deal from the get-go. I would have liked to have Judge, for sure...but Correa -- now batting .216 with a career low .703 OPS -- was a bad idea from the start. I'm guessing the Twins' fans aren't too happy.

Giants won again today, 7-6, Matos hit his first HR, Pederson and Sabol had two hits each, Rogers (4-2) got the win, Doval got the save. Luke Jackson had to depart with back tightness. Giants now 44-33, 11 games over .500 and just 1.5 back of the D'Backs. 34,243 attendance today. Arizona was favored, incidentally, -120.
