Robby Robbins will make the decision and the Board will go along with it. I have no "leaked" info on what that decision is/will be. I have heard that the majority of the fans and similar want to (reluctantly) stay in the PAC-X and see what happens. There is a minority that is in panic mode and want to jump to the Big-12 right now. It appears ASU is NOT going to insist that the two schools stay in the same conference.
Interestingly, rumor at UofA has it that Robbins sees himself as a candidate for the President at Texas A&M and also at Stanford! That would mean the football situation is not necessarily his top priority right now. Hard for me to see him at Stanford, but he does have some history here. I don't know if it is "good" history though. He is also 65, so maybe a bit too old?
