Stanford gets a recruit!!!!

This is really great news, not just because Umeh is a top player (HG#28, ASGR#15, U17 national team member). The post position was a of immense proportions position of need for us with Betts’ transfer.   Next year (‘24-‘25 season) we only have one true post player (Iriafen).  With Umeh we have a second one and probably a different type of post vs Iriafen.  Umeh appears to be more of a bigger, stronger more physical post presence whereas Iriafen relies more on her quickness and jumping ability.

Agree.  Several other sites list Umeh at 6'4, including USA FIBA.  With such uncertainty swirling around about Stanford's future alignment, this is such encouraging news.  Tara and the Stanford brand still has the power to bring in high quality talent.
