Odd stat of the day: when the score is 0-0 after three innings, the Giants are 16-8 this season.

Similar to when SF uses an opener (I believe they are 15-5).

Also, they are 5-45 when trailing after 8 innings. Unlike tonight, when they scored six in the ninth. 11 hits overall, Bailey, Estrada, Flores, Davis all had two hits. Slater had an uncharacteristically difficult time at the plate, striking out twice in three trips to the plate. Taylor Rogers got the win, he's 6-4. Incidentally, the twin Rogers brothers have ERAs of 2.52 and 2.54.

Slater swung and missed 8 straight times. Not sure I’ve seen that since Ron Herbel….

Since end of June he is 7-55.  Big time funk.  He will break out of it.  Hopefully soon.
