I remember Kennedy from 2022 U17 USA FIBA World Cup team. Some panned her for being a bit raw, but she was also the youngest member of the roster.
Personally, thought she looked remarkably powerful, with a strong build, good length, an assertive high motor, and impressively athletic and explosive for her size.
Per a November 2022 article, Kennedy was only receiving "interest" from Stanford at that time, thus, I'm curious if that means she has improved or if other posts higher Stanford's wish list didn't work out (i.e. Koval). But honestly, with her physical gifts, she certainly has the potential to be a major player for Stanford and maybe even surpass Koval in college.
2024 could be an exceptional class for Stanford! My hunch is Stanford quietly leads for #1 6'2"/6'3" forward Joyce Edwards (who led team USA with 12.6ppg at the U19 FIBA World Cup this summer as the youngest member of the team, and led the whole tournament with 63.2% FG).
Top 20 guard Mikayla Blakes has always seemed high on Stanford and had a great summer. Top 10 guard Jordan Lee also had a great summer and seems to have solidified herself in that top 10 echelon.
2025 Commit Hailee Swain fills the all-important point guard position which has been a nagging dilemma for Stanford. Then wing Jasmine Davidson looks like an absolutely superstar while Addison Deal looks like a stud and capable of contributing a ton wherever the team needs.
And don't get me starting on Mitty's 6'2" rising sophomore McKenna Woliczko... lol
