Indeed, Tara and the Stanford brand still has the lure.

In a way, this reminds me of the ultimate WCBB powerhouse 
that is UConn.  Despite being relegated to the 2nd tier conference
AAC for several years, they were still able to attract the likes of
2015 #1 KL SAMUELSON and #6 N COLLIER
2016 #3 C DANGERFIELD
2017 #1 M WALKER
2018 #1 C WILLIAMS and #5 O NELSON-ODADA
2020 #1 P BUECKERS
2021 #1 A FUDD and #5 C DUCHARME

UConn also picked up 2017 #2 recruit EVINA WESTBROOK as a transfer (from Tennessee) for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons. When UConn beat Stanford in the 2022 Final 4 they had 3 #1 recruits and a #2 recruit on their roster. They've recruited well since then, but not quite at that level.
