The game at Petco was great. My son and I arrived two hours early and toured the park. Unbelievably friendly fans and management, the nicest opposite-side fans I've ever seen, or met...or heard of. Great experience. And there were more than a handful of Giants fans there.
I got excited early on...I thought Beck was coming in to pitch after Junis, turned out to be Manaea, who was taken out of a shutout and flipped his glove on top of the dugout. Estrada, Pederson, Sabol, Yaz all had two hits, looked great. Sabol...I saw that there were three wild pitches credited to three different Giants pitchers. Looks to me like Sabol had a rough time. He's not Posey or Bailey at blocking pitches in the dirt, that's for certain.
And as much as we complain about Giants' fielding, five of the Giants runs yesterday were unearned on three Padre errors.
