USC was undoubtedly "flat" against Arizona. That said, Arizona played much of the game with 7 defensive backs. They basically dared USC to run, and USC mostly couldn't/didn't do so.

My kid who I took to Stanford games for 18 years (since he was born) spends one year at Arizona and now he's an Arizona fan...

The USC-Arizona game was fun. The biggest surprise to me, aside from the fact that Arizona played USC toe-to-toe the entire game, was how much pressure Arizona got on Caleb Williams while rushing only 3 players most of the time.

It seemed like most of USC's big plays came while Caleb Williams was scrambling.  If USC's QB was only average and not a likely #1 draft pick, Arizona would have won handily.
