Many of Stanford wvb players come from private and Catholic high schools where academics is still considered the highest priority. Also, in many of these households $20K/year in NIL doesn't move the needle financially.
I would also say women's golf has the same type of immunity. In the future it could change for both sports.
Women's golf looks immune--at least at this point. Next year, we will have seven players ranked in the World 100--with only 4.5 scholarships.
Compare this with Wake Forest, the defending NCAA champs. They currently have three Top 100's on their entire roster, and only six players on their entire team.
