In the past month someone must have noticed if Blyashov was participating in pre-game warmup drills (i.e. hitting line, pepper, etc.) or sitting out the warmup at home games.
Here's what I have a hard time accepting. Blyashov in her senior year was the star player on her high school team and her club team, both of which won national championships. Her high school team went 42-0. She was the team captain of her club team for four years. She was MaxPreps Player of the Year.
And you can't find a minute or two of playing time for her in the last half of the season? I hope she doesn't have a Betts-like outlook about playing time.
While I agree with you that Harvey and Blyashov could have played more in certain matches, I think both young ladies came to Stanford knowing that playing time will be very minimal in their freshman year. Harvey will start next season ant the RS and Blyashov and Kurt mwill compete for OH2. My money is on Blyashov starting as the 2nd OH. Stanford women’s volleyball team is top notch and there are top players who still value the great education that Stanford offers. Blyashov is one of them. She knows her playing time is coming.
Good comment. I agree Blyashov starts next year and IMO has the potential to be better in back row defense than Baird by the end of the year.
Selection show at 3:00 pm PT on ESPN.

Ehman twitter comment:
"Two notes: KPI is a new metric used this season, and I have 0 clue if they're weighing it more/less/the same as RPI. & on RPI, normally you have to be within ~55 to even have a chance of making it. Last season the lowest teams to make it were Tennessee at 56 & Ball State at 51."
Ehman predicts five PAC-12 teams in tournament: Stanford, Oregon, WSU, ASU, and USC.
Predicts four B1G teams in tournament. And Ehman is a Northwestern graduate so biased toward the B1G.
