Gotta give Steve Kerr some credit. He admitted he made terrible mistakes in the Sacramento game. He specifically said it was a mistake to take Moses Moody out and that he should have removed Klay Thompson. And he said it was foolish to use his challenge trying to get a foul called against Kings on Curry that lost his last timeout.
It does seem that had both GP2 and Chris Paul not left the game with injuries, the Warriors win anyway, but Kerr said Moody needs to get more minutes. Of course, he said the same thing about Podziemski, and he didn't play a single minute against the Kings.
Interestingly, Kerr said before the Kings game he was planning to use a 9 man rotation that would specifically rule out both Moody and Podziemski from playing. He said he even told Moses this before the game, but to still be ready.
GP2 seems like he is going to be out a while with a torn calf. Chris Paul doesn't seem to be as serious, but I've never heard of a "nerve contusion" before and have no idea what that means or how it would be caused on a basketball court.
In any case, we can expect to see a lot more of both Moody and Podziemski over the next month for sure. I just hope it also comes with less Klay Thompson, who is mentally a basket case with the uncertainty of looming free agency and can't be relied on for anything at this point.
