Another pro volleyball league starting next year in the states:

"LOVB’s inaugural pro season will launch in pre-season following the Paris Olympics in 2024, and will last from November 2024 through April 2025. It will feature six teams in six cities, including Atlanta, Houston, Madison and Salt Lake."

I don't see how the people behind these leagues think they will work financially.  They'll have to rely on live streaming revenue because gate receipts won't cover a fraction of their expenses.

Let me don my economist hat for a few minutes.  Entrepreneurs are, almost by definition, optimists.  If you want to start a new business, you can spend months (and millions of $) doing research.  Pretty sure your chances of success are no better than someone who simply takes the plunge.  Will these leagues survive?  Like you, I am skeptical.  But, having been involved in several startups over the years, I can assure you that none of us can accurately answer that question.
