I thought I explained that in the last game. When a foul is called (whistle & raise hand) by the ref is the key, not when contact first happens. If the foul is called before the ball leaves the hand, then no points. If it is called after, then the points count.
As I saw it, the contact was clearly before the shot. I turned down the announcers before the end of the quarter, but I turned them back up there. They thought the foul (by which they mean the contact) was before the shot and so the score wouldn't count upon review. I was thinking you were believing the announcers who thought the score would be reversed, and calling such a theoretical reversal BS. (And, by the way, the score was counted initially (giving Stanford 52 points), and later reviewed, and confirmed.)
Anyway, same result. The points counted.
