Syracuse has a domed stadium so it shouldn't be too bad.

Very true, however just being in Syracuse during the winter can be a bit of a challenge :-). I have been known to go for a walk in substantially sub-freezing temperatures just because I couldn't stand being inside all the time. It isn't too bad if there is no wind. The snow stays put and the roads are usually plowed (more or less). That said, this year Syracuse has had a relatively mild winter. Today the high is forecast at 15 degrees and no snow until evening. Wind is 11 mph. Nothing like Buffalo.

Spent 6 years in Syracuse, three of which were allegedly the snowiest on record. The amount of snow was very exaggerated--"three feet" of snow there and it may be knee deep; three feet in the Sierras and you can't find your car. The cold was not fun, but it was the grey that was tough. One February, we had 15 minutes of sunshine the entire month.
