1) First, sad that Arizona was playing without its best player and other depletions. With her, they might have been more competitive, but they still would have had no inside presence to counter Brink and Iriafen.
2) Yet another incredible game by Brink. 25 points and 19 rebounds in 26 minutes. And no foul trouble.
3) Iriafen continues to fight fouls. But even though she played less than half the game, she had even more baskets than Brink. Two headed monster indeed.
4) Great to see Jump getting her shooting solidly back on track, now for the second game. Let's hope she keeps this up for the rest of the season.
5) Harriel continues to impress, especially now that she has cut down on turnovers, which has been a weakness. She leads the team in three point shooting percentage at an incredible 47%. But I liked to see her drive on the basket too, something I had not seen before. She is beginning to look like a well rounded guard.
6) The turnovers were not good, but not entirely unexpected given Arizona's play style. They were pushing, shoving, lunging, jumping into passing lanes. I hate the overly physical defense--this was as bad as anything I remember seeing from Colorado. They paid a price with foul trouble--and should have paid an even higher price.
7) Our rebounding differential was--for the second game--truly extraordinary.
8) We are hitting on all cylinders, but our toughest test since Colorado comes next weekend, the most important remaining weekend of the regular season. Hope to see you all at Maples.
