Creme is perhaps fudging his bets. If either Colorado or Stanford wins the automatic bid, the other team will have had to lose.
If Colorado stumbles again in the regular season and Stanford doesn’t, we would likely face the #4 seed in the semis and the #2/3 seed in the finals while they face #2/3 and #1. In that case, advantage Stanford.
If Colorado doesn’t stumble, we’re looking up that hill.
And in either case, most any of the 12 could surprise any team during the remainder of the season or in the Ultimate PAC-12 tournament.
