LOL do I wish we had Clark (or even #4) in our back court? Who wouldn’t.

We arguably have the best post tandem in the country. We’ll go as far as they can take us. It’s no secret that guard play is often the decider in the post-season, and that is our vulnerability.

The only green I see is a bit of envy.

And I’d love to see Maples packed like that.

Who wouldn't want to have Clark on their team? She's virtually unguardable in the college women's game, someone who has unmatched range but also the wherewithal to find the open teammate as well.

Putting her aside for a moment, I agree that our frontcourt duo of Brink and Iriafen should be at among the best, if not the best. 

I also concur that our guard play is a relative weakness. If we had gotten one of the ND guards (Miles, Citron, Hidalgo) or one of the UCLA guards (Osborne, Jones, Rice), I would argue that we wouldn't have 4 losses on our record and we would be seen as the chief challenger to South Carolina.

In some aspects, this team reminds me of the 2011-12 team during Nneka's senior year. With Pohlen and Pedersen graduating the previous year, the clear superstars and leaders were the Ogwumike sisters much like Brink and Iriafen. They also had a capable supporting cast (Orrange, Tinkle, Kokenis, among others) and they had an extremely successful run into a fifth consecutive Final Four. But I fear much like that season, a team will be able to negate anyone not named Brink or Iriafen to secure the win much like Baylor did in the national semis.
