The article says the rankings take the professional careers into account ("....weigh in success the players have had not just in college, but in their professional and international careers as well."). If they only looked at the college careers, Cam would be up there with the best of our Stanford players (1 Time POY, 3 Time DPOY, at least 1 Natty, at least 2 Final Fours). Her stat line is impressive. Not quite as prolific of a scorer as others, but it's made up for by her defense and blocks (the all time P12 career blocks leader with over 400). That's hundreds more blocks than Nneka, Cheney, Val, Jayne....In the end, Cam may end up having the best WNBA career of all of them.

Not sure who I would say is Stanford's best ever college player. I didn't really watch enough of Azzi, Val, Starbird to know how they stack up. Of the players I'm most familiar with, I'd probably go with Chiney. Interested in what others think, especially those who've watched them all!

Another article of interest, on ESPN, their ranking of the 50 best WBB players in the Pac-12 since the conference began governing women's sports in 1986-87. Multiple Stanford players on the list, including Nnecka as #2 (Lisa Leslie at #2). Chiney is #6.

Some quick observations:
- agree with Leslie at #1
- "multiple Stanford players" is putting it mildly :-)
- what awesome post tandems we've been lucky to watch in the P12 - Leslie/Thompson, Nneka/Chimney, Appel/Pederson & now Cam/Kiki. Most formidable front line overall? I'll go with Stevens/Steding/Whiting
- No Milica Vukadinovich?!?!?

Was Leslie really all that while at USC? I know she blossomed into the face of the WNBA but it seems her success at USC wasn't nearly as prominent. Nneka on the other hand led Stanford to 4 Final Fours and was dominant in 3 of those seasons.

I also think Wiggins should have been higher for the success she had in the Pac-10. But I wonder if her limited WNBA success influenced her placement (IE the opposite of my take of Leslie).
