-Kiki was insane.
- Bosgana is very frustrating. Big game in Rd 1. Invisible today.
- Cam and Kiki: 24 rebounds. Rest of team: 7, including all 3 starting guards combining for 1 in 95 minutes. In contrast, Ryan for ISU had 9 by herself. Overall we were outrebounded by 6. That isn’t acceptable. Note, apparently there were 5 team rebounds as well, but it’s still ugly.
- and as others noted we got lit up by an opposing guard again. Agara finally slowed the bleeding from Ryan. But the perimeter defense was mostly terrible.
- Lepolo’s problem isn’t she is a bad shooter anymore, though one was terrible today. The issue is she is short and has a slow release with limited confidence; so she has to be wide open to be willing/able to shoot it. Teams learned the last third of the season that you can vaguely guard her and still be able to slough off into the paint. Until she can/will shoot at the 3 line with less space or be able to step back a step or 2, this is how it’s going to be.
