With the way the closer came in and his progress at that point. They needed the out. The collision is what sent the runner home. These hitters need to change their approach. Haskins, needs to do a better job with runners in scoring position. He is still looking to relive the Texas State AB. Drive the ball back up the middle, everything else will fall into place. This team does not have power, and I am sure Esquer knows that. These hitters need to know that as well. Swinging out of your shoes is not going to cut it. Moore is not going to see anything good to hit. Even more now since he does not have anyone behind him. I get really tired of Eager coming out every other inning. You see this staff always looking in the dugout when on the mound. I wonder if they are looking over to see if he is coming to take them out. I usually try to sit lower level behind home plate, or towards the Stanford dugout. Eager does a great job of talking to his kids during the game.
