I don't think there is bias, I just think the officials have a really hard job and often don't do it well. We're biased, so we see bias in the calls. I'm sure Iowa State fans were peeved watching their players get swallowed up near the rim without getting called. Someone biased to the Cyclones might call it mugging.

Social media went nuts when Samford was jobbed (and they were jobbed) against Kansas. I know Kerr hates the tedium of reviewing everything and I agree with that view, but that begged to be reviewed. Of course the best view of the perfect block at the rim showed the official in perfect position between the camera and play to make the right call. At the speed of the game half of it is presumed. It is hard to get a whistle blast back.

They miss a lot of stuff and see a lot of stuff that isn't there. I don't remember which game it was yesterday, but there was a full-on collision between two players and the ball skittered out of bounds. The color guy said, 'I don't know what that was, but it had to be something.' The play by play announcer deadpanned: 'Apparently ball out of bounds. Possession [whomever]'

I did enjoy the chop block play in the Stanford game last night. 15 yards.
