Where would she have played at Stanford?
Bob, Ann Killion’s article says Belibi applied to Stanford and didn’t get admitted. Do you know something that we don’t?
Wouldn’t she have been a great third post to keep Brink out of foul trouble? I know she’s more of a 4, but she was a great high post screener for H Jump and maybe Brink picks up fewer offensive fouls because Belibi gets some minutes when the refs seem to be hunting for offensive fouls.
I think the point remains that someone who can get into Harvard and play championship level basketball is someone that shouldn’t have gotten away.
So, you're mad at the medical school admissions' people for not accepting her and letting her get away?
No ones mad at anyone. Understand some context here. Tara and Coach Smith have said the graduate schools admissions process needs to change some to more easily allow graduate transfers and I suppose keep existing players (Fran) who want to attend grad school at Stanford. USC has 3 Ivey League grad transfers. Some of those kids are smart enough to attend Stanford grad school but the process is too complicated and requires applications be submitted in the fall. These are not uneducated players trying to get into Stanford on a long shot. They have the pedigree. Same for Fran. With how much transfers have changed college basketball, yes I expect some grad school changes within Stanford in the future. Listen to Tara everyone.
