Is the weather in Iowa any worse than the weather in Connecticut? A quick internet check would indicate they are fairly similar.
Weather doesn't appear to have impaired Yukon's recruiting over the years.

Pretty sure that's how UConn lost Jayne.

And at least Connecticut has four seasons, whereas Iowa has two.

Cmon, we only have 2 seasons here in Calif — blue and gray.
