Not everyone likes year-round summer. Some of us really enjoy seasons, including winter with snow. To me, in fact, the weather in New England is more appealing than the Bay Area.  Just saying . . .

To each his own. I was born in Connecticut, but moved to the West Coast as a young child when my dad got a coaching job at the University of Washington. When he left that job I asked my parents why we didn't move back. The response was they didn't like shoveling snow.
It would snow about twice a year in Seattle. That was more than enough for me.
