Wilner sold this as a win for UCLA because the payout was reduced from 6 to 3 years with years beyond 3 now not guaranteed. I'm not sure that payments above 10mil were ever an option anyway.

All that being said, since California taxpayers are ultimately the main funders of both schools, not sure how much any of this matters.
