I don't care what the RPI says, Cal (36-19) being left out of the tourney in favor of Florida (28-27) was a brutal snub, to put it tactfully.  And the bias of the RPI in favor of the southeastern conferences and against the west coast is well-documented.

And I know that Cal is supposed to be our bitter archrivals, but for personal reasons, I'm a bit of a Berkeley sympathizer......

Agree 100%. Used to be east coast media bias. Now it’s SEC.

Is it really bias if the best teams are in the SEC? Five of the final six in Omaha were SEC teams including the Gators.

Let me put it this way.  If all the teams in the SEC were selected for the tournament, there's a good chance they would be the only conference in the CWS.  More teams in the tournament means higher probability of making it to CWS.
