Funny you mention Montana and Mays because they both ended their careers elsewhere. The NBA's collective bargaining agreement makes basketball a brutal business, even more than the NFL and MLB were in those days. So, my prediction is that, if the Warriors are sub-.500 at the deadline (which they will be), then Curry will want out, and the Warriors will be willing to oblige. The biggest obstacle will not be sentimentality, but whether there's a team in contention that can put together a package with enough salary and picks to work out. Where there's a will, however, there's a way.
