Stanford won't/can't/isn't interested in joining the NIL rat race. So we recruit more 3 stars and hope our coaches and develop them, and then if they do, be prepared to say goodbye. How long we are going to be willing to try and compete in this rat race is another question. We certainly didn't move to less competitive group when we joined the ACC. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. One big negative is none of this helps put more people in the seats, so we will probably be playing lots of games in lots of sports in half empty venues.
