Yes, and without this very timely performance in which Steph shot into the tied-for-25th-in-Olympics-scoring spot, the U. S. would be playing for a bronze medal. And without this performance, Steph had scored just 29 points on 35.7% shooting, and 25% on his three pointers in four games against Brazil, South Sudan, Puerto Rico and the first game against Serbia in which he had 11 points.
Still...my favorite part is that he has averaged just one turnover per game. Hope that carries over into the NBA season. He's going to turn 37 this season. He had an extraordinary year last year, played the most games and most cumulative minutes since the 2016-17 season. Too bad they didn't get Markkanen, but I actually like this team.
