Yeah, a little thread drift.  The point is that I'm still good with Big Pharma because there are lots of medications out there that save or improve lives.  I'm grateful for all the folks who devote their careers to medical research.  It's unfortunate that some people in the field choose to fudge results, but that doesn't ruin the entire endeavor of trying to find medications that make our lives better.  MTL still has done a lot more good in his life than most people can ever hope to accomplish, and that's despite losing his position at Stanford's helm under unfortunate circumstances.
