Yeah but deciding to leave an organization you are supposed to be a part of because you feel you aren't getting enough money is actually kinda fitting for USC football.
Riley wants everybody to have five years of eligibility. Not even a fig leaf towards education being important and any attempt to match eligibility to the same. If you graduate in four (or less) years, do you still get five years of eligibility? Of course right now preserving a "redshirt" year is worth something. If there are no redshirts Bear Alexander would have already used up a year of eligibility by playing at all. That said, if he is "upset" with the USC program because he isn't getting to play, there is no reason for him to continue at USC. Riley's "solution" doesn't fix the problem.
