Miner's serving was a sight to behold.

It was a great demonstration of the effectiveness of good serving:
NC State made only one high-quality pass out of Miner's 12 serves in a row. Two were right on the 10-foot line. One was too close to the net and Stanford won the joust, and none of the other 8 passes (which included 2 aces) even made it up to the 10-foot line. And the point that ended the run was because of a net violation on us.
