For several years, up to 2023, there was an auction to sponsor the pink jerseys, with proceeds going to the Stanford Hospital Women's Cancer Center. The winner of each jersey got to choose the name (or word) to put on the jersey.
I didn't see an auction for this year. Given the fact that the players read bits about the words on their jerseys, I'm guessing the players may have chosen the words or names this year. I do recall that the word "strong" (or strength) was chosen for a quality of the breast cancer survivor honored at half time.
