If Iriafen had returned for another season, we’d be preseason ranked as a top 15 team. I think there’s still a good chance we are a ranked team throughout the upcoming season.
Regarding UCLA, the most talented roster they’ve had ever this year. Although they’ve had plenty of talent over the years. Close has been to 1 Elite 8 and no Final 4 in 13 seasons. Also in 13 years, Close has never won a single regular season conference championship or tournament. Coaching matters. I wouldn’t lock them in as a Final 4 team (based on history alone) although I expect they will have a very good year.
