Here's something quantitative: Per StatBroadcast, Brown had four "Big" plays (pass plays going for 15 yards or more).

NO OTHER STANFORD QB THIS YEAR HAS HAD MORE THAN THREE "BIG" PASS PLAYS IN ONE GAME*.

For sure, tough running by Roush, in particular, contributed to the total, but the QB (and perhaps playcaller) should get at least some credit when a pass is thrown with enough accuracy for such tough RAC yards to be gained. I believe this stat backs up what many of us fans saw with the "eye test" in the SMU game.
