TL; DR we suck. I do appreciate the analysis, but I don't think there is a weird divergence where we are somehow better than we look or that we've had a few lucky breaks make us look better than we are.  The analytics and the eye test converge here; this is a putrid football team.

Living quite a few hours from the stadium the back-to-back weekend games have been a bit of a challenge.   I remember in the middle of the last decade I would sometimes skip the games with teams in the lower tier of the conference if the game was part of a back-to-back weekend scenario.    

On Friday I decided I would skip SMU.   IMHO the Wake game represents the best chance to see a possible conference win at Stanford Stadium, so it is the must attend game of the season.

So I have gone from viewing Oregon or USC as the must attend games, to believing that Wake Forest is the must attend game.   Sigh....
