Penn State beat Nebraska. That's the worst possible result for Stanford. If Penn State had lost and Stanford would win against Louisville, Stanford's RPI would be better than Penn State. With the win Penn State is definitely a #1 regional seed. Nebraska and Pitt will be #1 regional seeds.
In the past the selection committee has given extra weight to how teams were playing toward the end of the season, particularly the last week going into the tournament. If Stanford beats Louisville they will end the season with two losses. I see Stanford getting a better seed than Louisville if Stanford wins tomorrow.
With a Stanford win tomorrow, it's still possible Creighton could get the #4 overall seed with Stanford #5. I'm ok with that.
