Hmmm, that's a good reason. Btw, he isn't playing in the Bowl game, and the 2nd string qb is hurt.
Lots of players sitting out non-playoff bowl games, as the new playoff format gives them even less meaning than they had before. If you are a coach, I would almost think you would want your players who are out of eligibility after this year to sit out, to give the players who are returning some more experience.
