There are:
1. People who are hopeful that the program can be turned around.
2. Cynics who say it can't.
1 still outnumbers 2, but the gap is closing.
And the biggest concern of all is:
3. Stanford football fans who sometime in the past five to seven years just stopped paying attention (the silent majority, I'm afraid)
Spot on. Big-time football has always been a fragile enterprise on The Farm. Now it just might have extinguished itself forever. Hope not, but the evidence is no bueno.
Life is too short to waste on crap football.
