Nobody mentions this, but a fairly large share of Turley’s acolytes were subsequently suspended by the NFL for violating the PED policy.  As far as I know, no one was ever found to have been using PEDs while at Stanford, but let’s just say that if we found out that Turley’s miraculous turnaround was pharmacologically aided, I would not be at all surprised.
