That delay of game call was completely bogus.  Not even close (and don't listen to the announcer).
It seems the refs came out for the second half with the intent to call fouls on Stanford.

The rule is

Attempting to gain an advantage by interfering with the ball after a goal
or by failing to immediately pass the ball to the nearest official after a
whistle is blown (See Rule 10-12.3.a.4);

The ball came through the basket. Stanford deflected the ball from over her head, to gently bounce in a direct line to the end line.
