Much,much better than the SMU game. That was 38 min and 2 sec of lackadaisical play and no hum coaching. Then two minutes of hustle and very loose foul calling.
Today, I saw good effort from start to finish. I don’t understand some of the rotations , especially the one that took Ogden out when she was beginning to play very well. And Harriel seems to have lost the ability to play on either end of the court but she still plays a lot. you have to assume the coaches have a better feel for who can play against what Clemson set than what we can get from TV.
Poor free throw shooting and the inability to keep a good attacker from getting to the basket undid us. But no complaint about the effort here. This level of effort would have been enough for a win against SMU. It is just possible that we are a below average team and that any ACC win will be a slight upset. Right now, we are a team that keeps finding a way to lose games. Our early low level competition fooled me into believing we might be better.
