so what about MBB maybe going to the inaugural 16 team CBC (College Basketball Crown) tournament in Las Vegas?

they will have two automatic qualifiers from the Big 10, Big East, and Big 12 and 10 at-large teams.
If they do take the top two non-NCAA teams from those conferences then the NIT would get at best the 3rd best team from each that does not go to the NCAA tournament. Since the ACC and SEC get two automatic bids to the NIT then this tournament would get at best the 3rd best team from those two that don't go to the NCAAs
