The ACC tournament format mirrors the NCAA format, but it is even more intense.
The NCAA format is 72 holes of stroke play over 4 days followed by 2 days of match play covering the quarterfinals, semis and finals.
The ACC format is 54 holes of stroke play over 2 days followed by 2 days of match play covering the quarterfinals, semis and finals.
After today's 36 holes of play, Stanford sits in 1st place followed closely by Florida State. These teams have separated themselves from the field. Florida State has the #1 and #2 ranked women's amateurs in the world. They will be a tough out in match play. Stanford vs. Florida State head-to-head would be a much anticipated match.
But first there is tomorrow's final stroke play round which will also crown an individual champ. Match play begins on Friday.

3. Virginia -1
