Yurosek was signed as a UDFA by the Vikings. I wonder if he would have been drafted had he remained at Stanford?

In my alternate universe, he would have been an amazing short-yardage safety outlet that Ashton Daniels needed.  Our deep routes would have been more effective.  (Why we didn't just trust or coach Roush up to that level is unfortunate.)

In that alternate universe you would need to add not needing/using Yurosek as a blocker to keep Daniels upright. You would also need to add a Daniels that was capable of not fixating on a primary receiver and running if he decided it wasn't there. You would also need a Daniels to be able to throw a check-down other than high, wide, or into the turf. You would also need a coaching staff that didn't decide to use Yurosek as a runner. Other than that, no problems :-).

Regarding the Sanders family...sure some of it is Deion, but a lot of it is Shedeur as well.  He really did give a very public appearance of a less-than-mature person off the field (no birthday party attendees?) as well as a merely above-average QB at CU.  Heck, the fact that Stanford beat him should be some kind of flag at least.  Shedeur's ceiling might be Tyrod Taylor, another mobile QB who Stanford beat.  But I'm happy to be proven wrong.

One could add Shedeur's legal troubles with the Security Guard lawsuit. IMO there were plenty of personal behavior questions that didn't help. The bottom line of him being an "merely above-average QB" coupled with behavior questions was enough to scare off the teams that were initially suckered in by the hype.
