Yurosek was signed as a UDFA by the Vikings. I wonder if he would have been drafted had he remained at Stanford?

Doubt it. He probably would have got hurt again. He also would have attracted quite a bit of coverage,  as he did in his first year with TT as the coach. Yurosek took a lot of hits partly because he was also used as a runner in an attempt to fix our lack of a running game.

IMO Yurosek's error was not that he left, but rather where he went. He needed to go someplace where he was a "fit" and probably would play. Georgia was not that. In 2024 Georgia ran the ball 56% of the time. The ability to block for the run was critical. That isn't Yurosek's strength. That alone undoubtedly kept him off the field. Georgia threw to the tight end 18% of the time. That isn't terrible. Oregon threw it to the tight end 23% of the time. Michigan threw to the tight end 42% of the time. Of course, Michigan also ran the ball 72% of the time. For Yurosek, there may not have been lots of good choices. There HAD to be better ones than Georgia.

It wasn’t the school he chose, it was his inability to produce results.  After all, Brock Bowers had no problem producing numbers while playing TE at Georgia.
