Stanford returned 3 players from last year's national championship team. But it's the frosh Ortengren and Revuelta who are leading the way at regionals. They are tied for the overall lead at -7 with 9 holes to play.

Stanford will qualify for nationals. No question of that. They are 30 shots clear of the 6th place team. But you want to see them work through the competition and the conditions to finish strong, like the #1 team that they are.

There are only about 2 hours of daylight remaining. Doubtful that every team is able to finish today. But Stanford's 5 players should get in their rounds.

Stanford was outstanding despite the weather.  Now we just have to focus on making the match play cut and then go get another Championship.
