Giants were down 3-1 after the eighth inning, I turned in. Big mistake.

Well.  That was a misteak...at 414 feet, Bailey's inside-the-park home run would have been out in 29 of 30 ballparks. Incidentally, there've only been two walkoff inside-the-park home runs by a catcher in history, including legends Bennie Tate (Senators, 8/11/26) and Pat Moran (Cubs, 8/4/1907).

Melvin gave his great relief pitchers the night off. Bivens (3.40 ERA) gave up two runs. Stanford's Tristan Beck threw a scoreless inning lowering his ERA to 4.15. Scott Alexander (5.82 ERA) gave up a hit and a walk in 2/3rds of an inning. Ryan Walker (4.33 ERA) closed it out and got the win throwing to one batter.
