Do I recall that for the Olympics, the team’s food was flown in? I guess this wasn’t the case for this event.

A post by the team said Huske would concentrate on the 400 Free Relay rather than swim both the 100 Fly and the relay in the same day.
Manuel anchored the US Women's 400 Free Relay in the prelims, but with a slow time (still, the US qualified first). SwimSwam supposed it might be that she also was recovering from the illness (from the training camp in Thailand) or because she was saving energy for the finals (4AM PDT Sunday, I think) in case she has to swim for Huske.
